Specifications - During this stage the project's features and functionality are determined. Projects can vary considerably from client to client, depending on a project's objective, scope, and delivery schedule. For a basic corporate website, a site map and an outline of content are typically the only deliverables at this stage. For sites with greater functionality, a detailed user interface or functional specification may be required.

Design - The design phase will often overlap the specification phase, at least initially. During this phase, the projects layout, look and feel are all designed through a series of mock-ups. Depending on the project's scope and timetable, multiple design directions may be produced, followed by one or more iterations or refinements.

Production - After the project's functionality and look & feel have been determined, the actual building begins. Layouts are converted into final templates. For larger projects prototype website and applications are developed and posted to a secure production server for client approval and revisions. Formal usability testing may be conducted at the client's discretion.

Integration - Once all revisions, additions, and testing are complete, the project is delivered to the client's production engineers for deployment. Print collateral in are drying at the printer. As needed, I work with the client to ensure a clean site launch.

Each projects has their own unique scope, needs and requirements, and require varying degrees of information architecture design, interaction design, coding, and production. In conclusion, I work with a client to tailor the development process to best suit the needs of both the client and the project.
